Product is leading the conversation
What Chief Product Officers have to say about AI, and the bottom line
I just love it when product leads the tech conversation. Even better when the conversation is about the bottom line of tech businesses.
As you know, I am a big believer in the idea that product success equals business success. So I was very pleased to see our CPO research, the CPO Insights Report: Into the AI Era, featured in last week's TechCrunch Market Analysis. Many thanks to our sponsors Mighty Capital and especially Capgemini Invent, who hosted our research launch event at the frog space in Brooklyn -- and to Lisa Mitnick and Nicolas Rousseau for co-authoring the Foreword. And big kudos to Renee Niemi, who led the research at Products That Count!
(Link to article here. Note: The article is behind a paywall.) Writer Anna Heim notes that it "make[s] sense for AI implementation to be a cross-functional effort that focuses on bringing value to the end user"; and as we argue in the Report, the Chief Product Officer is best suited to lead that charge.
In other (AI) news, what do you think about the Bletchley Declaration and Biden's 100-page AI Executive Order? Interesting times in tech! Personally, I don't really think governments will ultimately be successful at regulating AI -- which I recently discussed on TikTok. What do you think? Leave a comment on my TikTok!
