In this week of thanksgiving, I am feeling immense gratitude for the recent growth of our product community - at every level. Where to begin?
Just last week we welcomed our founding Board of Directors.
Last month, with the help of our Chief Product Officer advisors, we published our second CPO white paper this year.
In September, we recognized the rising stars in our network with our newest awards program – the PM Awards – celebrating excellence in the discipline of product management. (A few of the winners are featured in our latest podcast series.)
And now that growth extends to our longest-running annual awards program: the Product Awards.
With a nearly 300% increase in the number of nominees over 3 years, the event has simply gotten too big for a once-a-year occasion. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that, in 2024, the Product Awards will be broken up into 3 unique events, the first of which will focus on AI, Data, and FinTech.

Thank you for the work that you do in creating a strong and productive product ecosystem. Have a happy and restful Thanksgiving.
New Capgemini research
Next, I want to give you something to discuss at the Thanksgiving table (besides the tumult at OpenAI...) by directing your attention to a new research report (and accompanying infographic) from Capgemini. It's on a topic relevant to many, if not all, of you: softwaritization.
The report is filled with key stats, such as this: more and more organizations in traditional sectors (already 25%) consider themselves to be software companies.
This new data is part and parcel with the digital transformation that has rapidly accelerated in the past few years. I speak a lot about the increasing connection between product and business success, so you know where I stand. But this survey shows this position is echoed in sectors ranging from aerospace and defense to banking and insurance.
At Products That Count, we envision a world where everyone uses products that count, and simply put, the trend towards softwaritization creates increasing opportunities for great products. Get the Capgemini report and infographic, for free, at the link below.
